Tonolli Canada, located in Mississauga, has been providing a solution to the disposal and reuse of old automotive batteries for over fifty years. With plant renovations in full swing, Rob Chafee approached Provincial Partitions for a solution to oversee the plant facility from an elevated production office. Representatives from Provincial Partitions suggested re-purposing an existing System 40™ 12'x40' in plant office (available through Provincial Partitions' In Stock program) and placing it on top of a new mezzanine structure.

The two-story application from Provincial Partitions Ltd. was the perfect solution, saving valuable floor space while accommodating an improved vantage point for plant personnel. The mezzanine structure, coupled with the existing System 40™ partition office, allowed for the flexibility of providing an office above existing floor space - virtually creating a new workspace from mid-air!
Tonolli Canada currently reprocesses 75% of Ontario's used automotive batteries. By diverting more than 5 million batteries annually from Ontario landfills each year, Tonolli Canada ensures that battery acid and lead is not left behind in garages, ditches and landfills. The picture to the right (taken from the vantage point of the new offices) illustrates the sheer volume of lead recovered in Tonolli's Mississauga plant. Each cube weighs approximately 2 tons.
Provincial Partitions' steel mezzanine structures are custom engineered to suit each and every job application.
